The Green Edit: Branches, flowers, moss… - My 6 favorites for Nordic & Japanese (japandi) interior styling.

Greens and flowers that complement my “mix of Nordic & Japanese warm minimalism“ (or you can use a more trendy word - “japandi”) style greatly!

[ All photos were taken at my home, if some objects caught your eye - links to them can be found on this page: shop my home. ]

  • Ranunculus flowers in white - I usually buy XL 40cm flowers and get rid of all the leaves to make them look more minimalist and elegant :) And I also love the big stand-alone flower in a vase!

  • Olive branches (available all year round) - the bigger, the more asymmetrical and strange-looking the branches arrangement is - the better to my taste. At the same time I also like how one small olive branch looks in a tiny vase or a pitcher (I use pitchers as vases more often than as pitchers… :)) )

  • Moss! I have “Polstermoos“ - my absolute must-have for Christmas decorations. I keep the tray filled with moss long after the Christmas season, it serves great for a sideboard styling or as a table centerpiece - I simply remove candles (on the photo here - the “Luna” candleholder by Applicata, has removable candle holders. Oh, almost forgot - tray stuffed with moss also looks great as an Easter tray :)

  • Dattel branch! - looks gorgeous, a real eye-catcher (green ones, not the dried brown branches!). But keep in mind that it is so heavy! I had to fill my steel pitcher with pebbles from our garden to prevent it from tipping. There are not so many places over the internet to buy them (branches, not pebbles), so here is where I found mine: Dattelzweige

  • Eucalyptus “Nicoli“ - I found mine here Eucalyptus “Nicoli“ - the color and the smell were unbelievably amazing! Also, you can find it here (color may differ): Eucalyptus “Nicoli“ and I suppose in many other places :)

  • And last but not least - Mohnkapseln (poppy seed pods). Like the ones here. The bigger they are - the better to my taste, but the smaller size looks good too!

Enjoy styling! :)
